PEACHES...YUM!!

I love PEACHES! If you set out all different kinds of fruit pies in front of me...PEACH would be my pick! I love it when it's PEACH season! I'm super happy this year because these PEACHES came from my home state! No Colorado, Georgia, or others for me this year!! Can't wait to get them cut up, cooked up, and packed up for the freezer to enjoy all year long! Well, I may have to buy more...these probably won't even make it to the freezer!

Retakes...

Well, yesterday a good friend and myself took a photography class all day! I really feel like I learned a LOT! Long day but good info!

As we were laying down to go to sleep last night...Mike said...did you remember to put the cat food up? I said...nope...that's your job remember! So he hopped back up and opened the door and said...well, it's too late...we already have a visitor! I'm guessing they heard I was taking the photography class and decided to come back last night for retakes! This time she thought she would get up a little closer for a better "close up" shot! Enough already!!! I'll take the racoons over the snakes ANYDAY but...really don't want either! As the instructor said yesterday...practice makes perfect! I would rather my subjects be human but I'll take what I can get.

middle of the night visitors!

When I heard the tin cat bowl clank on the patio...I knew something was up! The kitties aren't big enough to make a loud noise like that! I popped out of bed and sure enough...we had visitors! A momma coon and 2 of her babies! I tried to shoo them away and they just wouldn't leave until ALL the cat food was gone off the ground! They weren't scared of me at all!
Note to self: PUT THE CAT FOOD AWAY AT NIGHT!

Easy Peasy Pie!!

Yummo!!! I love new recipes! I had a customer share this with me the other day!! I couldn't wait to make it! Just had to share it with you...

I made 2 of them...one lemon like the recipe calls for...and one with key lime filling! Well I didn't have a key lime picture because it was gone before I could get a pic. So...next time I make this, I'll definitely be making the Key Lime! It was a hit!! And super easy to boot!

Layered Lemon (or Lime) Pie
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 can (15-3/4 oz.) Lemon (or Lime) pie filling
1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip, thawed
1 (9 in.) graham cracker crust

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in HALF of the pie filling. Fold in Cool Whip. Spoon into crust. Spread with remaining pie filling. Refrigerate for at least 15 min. or until ready to serve.
