middle of the night visitors!

When I heard the tin cat bowl clank on the patio...I knew something was up! The kitties aren't big enough to make a loud noise like that! I popped out of bed and sure enough...we had visitors! A momma coon and 2 of her babies! I tried to shoo them away and they just wouldn't leave until ALL the cat food was gone off the ground! They weren't scared of me at all!
Note to self: PUT THE CAT FOOD AWAY AT NIGHT!

Easy Peasy Pie!!

Yummo!!! I love new recipes! I had a customer share this with me the other day!! I couldn't wait to make it! Just had to share it with you...



I made 2 of them...one lemon like the recipe calls for...and one with key lime filling! Well I didn't have a key lime picture because it was gone before I could get a pic. So...next time I make this, I'll definitely be making the Key Lime! It was a hit!! And super easy to boot!

Layered Lemon (or Lime) Pie
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 can (15-3/4 oz.) Lemon (or Lime) pie filling
1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip, thawed
1 (9 in.) graham cracker crust

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in HALF of the pie filling. Fold in Cool Whip. Spoon into crust. Spread with remaining pie filling. Refrigerate for at least 15 min. or until ready to serve.

What's the story?

This house is on one of our farms. My hubby has wanted to tear it down a few times and for some reason...I'm attached to it! I tell him...A family used to live in this house...
As I stood and took these pictures I wondered what the stories were in this home. Someday...years from now...somebody will stand in front of my new home and take pictures just like these. Sad to think about but so true. One day...years ago...a family was celebrating the building completion of their new home!

As old and run down as this house is...I can't get over that "modern" dish drainer lying there!

This girl just wanted to make sure that I was minding my own business and leaving her "home" grounds alone! This wasn't on zoom either! A little too close for comfort for me!

I can think of a million ways to "re-purpose" the old wood on this house! We brought a little home with us for one of my projects. My mind was racing and Mike had to tell me that when I complete that project we would come back for more wood! Hmmm....ya think he kind of knows me a little bit?!! If and when I get my first project done, I'll post a picture!

Super Clean House...in NO time!

Well, I don't have any little ones at home anymore and my Grandkids aren't really old enough to put this to work. What a great idea though!! Wish I would have thought of this when my kids were growing up!! Click below to see how:

New Favorite Place to Shop!

FINALLY...we got some rustic chunky chairs for our table and a stand for our TV! The stand is made out of solid wood doors salvaged from old buildings in Mexico. Where to go: Lorec Ranch in the city...I'm in love with that place! They have amazing furniture! I can't wait to go back and pick up my barstools...who knows...maybe I'll find more new stuff that I can't wait to have!

Look OUT...

Pick a driver any driver...this could be dangerous!!

As much fun as Brock has on the farm...we should have raised him on the farm! He begged ALL the time as a little boy to PLEASE move to the farm! Now...he's asking if he can move back in with us! HA...NOT HAPPENING!! Love you Brock-lee but you have your own family now! Besides, Molli and Aspen might not like living with the critters as much as you would!

Don't ya just love it when someone mentions a new blog to check out!! My friend Jackie told me about Sisters Cafe today and I couldn't wait to get to a computer to check it out!
